The EU project Multiply aims at a integrating the vast amount of information from the SENTINEL satellites, in a effort that will result in a full characterization of land surface parameters. This includes a wide coverage in temporal and spatial resolution. This logo was presented to the Multiply logo competition.
Representation of Plankton Functional Types (PFTs) in contemporary ocean biogeochemical models faces significant challenges that must be addressed both with large observational datasets such as Maredat and a joint community effort under the Maremip initiative. These two logos were inspired by both research projects.
PISCES is a low trophic level marine biogeochemical model, aiming at global carbon-cycle issues and used to contribute to the IPCC Climate Change scientific reports. The model is a common working tool in many international oceanographic institutions with applications for both regional and global scales. Work in progress.
Orchidee is a terrestrial biosphere model developed and used by many international scientific communities, looking at CO2 fluxes and their relation to forest, grasslands, cropfields, hydrological cycles together with other energy transfers. This logo won the Orchidee Logo Competition at the Laboratoire des Sciences du Climat et de l’Environnement (LSCE) in Paris, France.
The Biogeochimie Marine et Climat department at the Laboratoire des Sciences du Climat et de l’Environnement studies the interactions and feedbacks between the atmosphere and marine biogeochemistry through modelling studies from past, present and future perspectives. This logo was adopted at the BIOMAC facilities in Paris, France.
